Pastor Lila DeMoss- Raised in Iowa;joined the US Air Force, where I served for four years, two of them in Southwest Asia; came back and went to college. I went to work at what was then called the Hospital for the Criminally Insane, where I met many
interesting people. I was a foster parent for a number of years. On and off I helped my father in his auto body shop, which I enjoyed.
I then returned to school and studied computer science engineering.
I worked for several companies in various states until I retired and
moved to the beautiful state of Arkansas to enjoy life and relax in peace.
Then I received a call to the ministry to assist ministers and churches in need. I attended the Memphis Theological Seminary. I work for the
Mission Board of the Cumberland Presbytery for the state of Arkansas,
where I am officially a Missionary to Churches and Prisons. I’m also on
one of the Presbytery boards.
I am the assistant pastor at Pineville Cumberland church, and I substitute for whatever minister or church has an emergency and needs me, as is my calling from God. I’m a Certified Religious Assistant at the prison at Calico Rock, where I teach, hold services as requested by the prison Chaplain, and speak one on one with the prisoners.
I live in Horseshoe Bend. I love to read and wood carve, neither of
which do I have time for these days. I have three dogs. I’m a fifty year
member of the American Legion where I’m on the Honor Guard for funerals, and I hold three officer positions for the Legion Post in Horseshoe Bend. Until recently I was the District Commander of the Legion that covered a five state area.

Nancy Priest is our office treasurer/ bookkeeper.  She does a great job of keeping the bills paid and our churches’ finances in order. She definitely is a “go to” person to find the answer to any question about the church.  She currently serves as a lay reader, the caretaker of the library, and as the moderator of the Women’s Circles.
